Helen provides general drawing and painting classes at the Brown's Fine Art studio in the Locks Heath Centre.  All abilities, from complete beginner to professional are most welcome.  Most art mediums are accommodated (the exception being oils due to difficulties in transportation to and from the studio).  You will find that the classes are relaxed, friendly, welcoming and supportive regardless of ability.

 

The classes are 2 hours, paid for termly in advance.  The terms are structured around the school term, so parents and carers will find it easy to attend.  A typical 12 week term costs £64.80, i.e. £5.40 a session.  Classes are run on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  For availability and further detail please contact us.

 

The format is typically a 10 minute demonstration at the start to introduce the topic, followed by individual attention and if appropriate further class demonstration.  Each project is typically given two weeks, the subjects being influenced by students in the previous term.  Students are welcome to continue their own project if the lesson subject does not appeal and assistance will be provided.

Tea and coffee (and biscuits) are available to class members.
